Franklin Williamson EHS
Franklin Williamson Early Head Start

I enjoyed having my child in Head Start. She has come a long way. This is a great program. The children learn to share, communicate, manners and how to treat others. I have spent a lot of time here myself and I see how the teachers are a major role in these children's lives.
I know [my daughter] will take everything she has learned and go a great distance in life.

Head Start has done a lot for my family. My son went through the home-base, then was at the Head Start center. He is in 1st grade now and he is very advanced. I feel it was the good start he got in Head Start.

Head Start has encouraged good social behavior, positive eating habits, & creativity in a learning environment. Our child has blossomed since he has been attending.

Head Start gave me a place to send my child when it seemed no one else wanted to be bothered. I know they were scared taking on a child with so many special needs. But, [Head Start] met the challenge & did a wonderful job. I will truly miss the family atmosphere we have with [Head Start]. But they gave us a good education foundation to build on.
I started working in the Social Services area of Head Start]. Prior to that time I had had 3 children in the Home Base Program. I served as Chairperson of the Home Base Center & also on the Policy Council I had been disabled for a year when I was hired. Since that time I have become proficient on the computer & other office machines.
I have been allowed to take several classes at the college level & have received my Family Community Development Certificate. I am proud to be apart of Head Start.
